What happens when you throw together 181 contemporary artists from 51 countries and ask them to individually reinterpret the Mona Lisa? You get The Gioconda Project, that’s what. It’s a not-for-profit experiment where contributing artists have joined forces to bring contemporary art to everyone through a free exhibition at the W3Gallery in Acton, West London. Traditional painting and drawing will be showcased next to illustration, collage, mark making and digital art from 25 February to 5 March 2014. The exhibition is free to attend.
It could not be all the artworks by the weight of the video, we have selected to show at least the great variety of the project.
